Filmmakers Scott Beck & Bryan Woods burst onto the Hollywood scene with Paramount Pictures’ A QUIET PLACE, based on their original screenplay. The critically acclaimed box-office smash stars Emily Blunt alongside John Krasinski, who also directed. Certified Fresh with a score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film earned over $340 million at the worldwide box-office and was #1 at the domestic box-office for two weeks. Beck & Woods serve as Executive Producers on the film in addition to co-writing the screenplay with Krasinski.

A QUIET PLACE was named as a Top Ten Film of 2018 by the American Film Institute and the National Board of Review. Beck & Woods' script earned them the Saturn Award for Best Writing, alongside nominations from the Writers Guild and the Critics Choice Awards, and was named one of the year's ten best scripts by The Tracking Board Hit List. Variety went on to name Beck & Woods to their annual 10 Screenwriters to Watch list.

Next up for Beck & Woods is Sony Pictures’ sci-fi thriller 65 with Academy Award® nominee Adam Driver starring along with Ariana Greenblatt and Chloe Coleman. The film is an original screenplay written by the duo, which they also serve as directors and producers under their Beck/Woods banner. The project is a reunion for them and Sam Raimi who is also a producer of 65.

Also on deck for the duo is THE BOOGEYMAN, based on Stephen King's iconic short story of the same name. They wrote the screenplay and serve as Executive Producers on the film. The short story, first published in 1973 and later released in King's 1978 collection Night Shift, followed a man who's recently lost all his children to a creature lurking in the closet. King himself gave his endorsement of A QUIET PLACE, tweeting that the film “is an extraordinary piece of work.”

Other credits for the filmmakers include 2019’s acclaimed thriller HAUNT, which they wrote and directed ​for producer Eli Roth, Sierra/Affinity, Broken Road Productions, and Nickel City Pictures​.  The film had its World Premiere as the Opening Night film at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival then its international premiere at FrightFest in London. Momentum Pictures released HAUNT in theaters on Friday, September 13, 2019. The film was the #1 most watched movie premiere on Shudder. 

Beck & Woods are also co-owners of The Last Picture House, a specialty cinema and social lounge with 35mm capabilities. The movie theater is located in their hometown of Davenport, Iowa and will open in 2023.

JULIA GLAUSI | Head of Film & TV

Julia Glausi

Julia Glausi oversees a diverse slate of original film and television projects at Beck/Woods, using her vast experience in the talent agency business, development, and on-set production.

Before joining Beck/Woods in 2022, Glausi served as Agent of Media Finance at Creative Artists Agency. At CAA, Glausi represented development, production packages, and sales titles through a competitive landscape. She additionally provided career advisory support and project strategy to A-list talent. Prior to her tenure at CAA, Glausi was an Executive at Endgame Entertainment, where she was involved in the first three seasons of the Emmy-winning Netflix documentary series Last Chance U; David Lowery’s THE OLD MAN AND THE GUN; the Chiwetel Ejiofor-led COME SUNDAY; MURDER MYSTERY starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler; among many others. Glausi also produced award-winning higher education documentary FAIL STATE, executive produced by Dan Rather, which was released in 2018 by Starz. Glausi began her career at Samuel Goldwyn Films and also spent time in talent management representation at Zero Gravity. 

Glausi graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Theater and Media Arts, with an emphasis in producing. She serves as Co-Chair of Utah Alumni in Entertainment, as well as on the Board of Directors for the Hollywood Radio & Television Society Associates. She is originally from Portland, Oregon.
